Converse Valkyries fall 7-1 to Shorter Hawks in Division II softball matchup

The Converse Valkyries, featuring former Kamiak High School standout Tyler Karabach, were defeated 7-1 by the Shorter Hawks during their NCAA Division II softball game at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.

Tyger River Park was the venue for the game, which marked the teams’ second meeting this season. The Valkyries previously edged out the Hawks 2-1 earlier the same day.

Karabach pitched 0.2 innings, allowing two earned runs and issuing two walks.

The Valkyries are set to play their next game against the Belmont Abbey Crusaders at Crusader Field on Tuesday, March 17, at 1 p.m.
