City of Snohomish issued the following announcement.
Businesses with less than 10 employees effected by COVID-19 are eligible. The City of Snohomish will open up a one-week window to apply for up-to $5,000 in grant funding for qualifying small businesses that have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The grants will be awarded to small businesses that qualify on a reimbursement basis. Funds may be used for existing operating expenses, including business rent or mortgage, payroll, utilities, inventory, marketing, and improvements necessary to meet social distancing requirements. Documentation of expenses will be required to be submitted if a grant is awarded, and eligible expenses must be incurred within the time period of March 1, 2020 to October 31, 2020. Businesses must have a brick and mortar location in the city and a current Snohomish business license to be eligible.
Funding is limited and application will only be accepted for one week. Some applicants may not receive a grant. Priority will be given to businesses that did not receive Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) or Small Business Administration (SBA) funding of any kind – and that are still unable to open under the Safe Start Washington phased plan. Applicants that already received a Snohomish Small Business Recovery Grant are not eligible and won’t be considered.
Details of eligibility and other program requirements can be found online at www.snohomishwa.gov. The deadline to submit an application is October 30, 2020.
