City of Lynnwood recently issued the following announcement on Feb 15.
We couldn’t think of any better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with an unveiling of the new LOVE Lynnwood sculpture by local artist BK Choi!
This beautiful art can be found at the Lynnwood Convention Center on the corner of 196th St SW and 36th Ave W, welcoming all those who come to Lynnwood.
LOVE Lynnwood is a joint collaboration between the City of Lynnwood, the Public Facilities District, the Lynnwood Convention Center, the Parks & Recreation Foundation, Lynnwood Arts Commission and the History & Heritage Board with generous funding from the Elizabeth Ruth Wallace Living Trust!
Artist BK Choi was inspired by traditional jogakbo, which is a style of patchwork. The LOVE Lynnwood art piece includes pink, blue, green and yellow in honor of Lynnwood’s ‘All Are Welcome’ initiative.
