The City of Mill Creek is accepting applications from those interested in filling a vacancy on the Mill Creek City Council, Position No. 7. Councilmember Mark Bond held the position for 18 years until his recent move out of Mill Creek.
An application packet is available online at millcreekwa.gov/councilvacancies or in person at City Hall, 15728 Main St. Applicants must submit their completed materials to the City Clerk at cityclerk@millcreekwa.gov by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug.19. In accordance with state law, applicants must have been a resident of the City of Mill Creek for at least one year immediately prior to the time of the application, and must be registered to vote within the City of Mill Creek.
The City Council will begin interviewing applicants at the City Council Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 6. Depending on the number of applicants, additional interviews may be conducted.
This appointment shall be for a term commencing on the date of appointment until certification of the next election on November 2023.
